Man Found Cockroaches In Fridge Of CCD Jaipur. When He Pointed Out, He Got Slapped By Lady Staff

If you visit any CCD outlet, you can find “A lot can happen over coffee” written there and the recent incident has actually proved it. Well, if you are thinking that something romantic or a good incident has just taken place on a CCD outlet, all your hopes are going to be shattered and let’s just tell you that after reading this piece of news, you may even stop visiting CCD and all your love for it may turn into hate.

Yes, that’s right! Over and again, it’s said that taste is indeed a factor for a food item to be called good but at one fell swoop, hygiene matters a lot and if some product is not hygie nic, you will not want to have it, no matter how delicious it is. Agree?

Recently, ‘a lot’ happened with a man named Arpan Verma who went to a Jaipur CCD outlet on 12th March at 1:35PM with his friends. From finding cockroaches inside the fridge to getting slapped from the female staff of the outlet, this man really experienced A LOT!! True, everything can happen here!!

As you can see, the man didn’t use any abusive word and was just capturing it all on his camera. The staff of the outlet was trying to hide cockroaches under menu cards but when he pointed at the bugs, this infuriated the female staff to such an extent that she instantly slapped the man.

Here it’s necessary to mention that at this counter, cakes along with other lip-smacking food products are kept by CCD. Now if you get to see a cockroach here, it’s natural for you to bring the matter to light. Right? Right!

Whatever, if you complaint the staff for the same, you’ll expect that they don’t serve customers from the same place but this was not the case here; the staff continued to serve products! Heights!

“On 12/03/2017 at 01:35 PM, I (Arpan Verma) visited Cafe Coffee Day store located at Hawamahal Jaipur along with my friends and ordered Green Apple Soda and paid for the same. The said product was delivered to us and then I noticed cockroaches and other bugs inside the fridge where food items are kept and all the food items were exposed to these bugs.

Immediately after noticing the grossly unhygienic state of affairs under which the food items are kept in the store and the same being served to the customers, the money paid for the product ordered by me was asked to reimburse and the product’s order was cancelled there itself and the bugs present in fridge were brought to the notice of the employees to which it was assured that the same would be put in order.

Even after bringing it to the knowledge of the employees about the unhygienic condition under which food items are kept and the presence of cockroaches and other bugs in the fridge, the employees went on to serve the food from the same fridge by covering the portion where cockroaches and other bugs are present by the bunch of menu cards present at the store. When in exercise of good faith, I brought this fact into light to the other customers present therein who thereby denied accepting food products made out of items kept in the contaminated fridge, the employees got agitated and asked me to leave the store and let them carry on with their business and also hurled abuses and one of the employees started making video of mine.

Being at the forefront of the abused and threats received by the employees I started recording the abysmal state of Hygiene wherein the cockroaches and other bugs present in the fridge were captured in the video and also depicted the employees who did not pay any heed to his request. One of the employees crossed all limits and slapped me and started falsely accusing me of harassing her and abused me in front of the present customers (Whole incident recorded in the video footage).

If in a place of this girl there was a boy who would have slapped a girl for recording a video with the sole intent of letting all know that there are cockroaches in the food served by CCD and boy justifying the slap by saying ‘Aap meri photo kyu kheech Rahi hain’, it would have been a top story with furore all over but here it is only a boy getting slapped by a disgruntled girl employee for showing the truth. No big Deal right?”

When he tweeted to Café Coffee Day, he didn’t get any response and they pretended as if they were unaware of it all. What’s more, he has not got any reply from Department Of Consumer Affairs in this connection so far.

Unhygienic food condition is definitely a point to consider but what’s even more sickening is that the staff slapped the customer just for highlighting the bugs.
